He has also served as the pioneer General Secretary and later as the Chairman of NEMA (Nigeria Evangelical Missionary Association) from 1983 until 1995.

Gideon Para-Mallam - IFES, is the Senior Leadership Team, International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.


Gideon has served with IFES in Nigeria, both as NIFES Director of Campus Ministries (1989-1992), and NIFES National Director (1993-2002). In 2002, he became Associate Regional Secretary for West Africa, before assuming his present role as IFES Regional Secretary for English- and Portuguese-Speaking Africa in 2008.
